Sevres is July 15, Lausanne is now Mosul…

The APEC has 21 member countries, some of them being the U.S., Japan, South Korea, China and Indonesia. Moscow considers hosting this summit as a prestigious thing; thus, has spent $21 billion on expenses. The presidents of all of these countries are there. But U.S. President Barack Obama stated that he will not attend the summit. Because Vladivostok is Russia’s door to the Pacific region, and the summit is the first step to expanding this door. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev says, “Vladivostok will be more beautiful than San Francisco” as he stands on the bridge built specially for the summit. This is not just any plain talk; the last Tsar Nicholas II and Soviet Leader Nikita Kruschev had likened the city to San Francisco, too.

The Golden Gate Bridge, the Chinese suburbs, the number of soldiers sent from the city to the Pacific from this city during World War II, are all references to this…

In other words, Russia is saying “I am here too” in response to the U.S.’s increased activities in the Asia-Pacific during the Obama period.

The Financial Times summed up the summit, saying, “This is a summit that has purposes that need to be approached with suspicion.”

‘Get the he’ll out of here’

November 2014…

The G20 summit, Australia…

In the statement Russian President Vladimir Putin made in Vladivostok before leaving for the summit in Australia, he criticized the sanctions the U.S. imposed on his country, yet he emphasized that he would not discuss these during the summit.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said, “Putin is trying to revive the glory of the ‘tsar period.’ (“Russian tension at the G20,” 14/11/2014, America’s Voice.)

And…

“After facing serious criticism on the first day of the summit in Australia, Russian President Vladimir Putin had to leave early.” (16/11/2014, Bloomberg.)

Speaking to European leaders, Obama said Russia would be further isolated if they did not change their track on the Ukraine issue.

The Russian wall against the US and China

September 2015…

“The Pacific economic summit will be organized by Putin. Hundreds of businessmen and professionals will meet in Vladivostok. The biggest committee will come from China.

The border area between China, Japan and the U.S. holds importance in terms of national security and economic strategy for the Kremlin.

This region has a lot of immigration and it is expected that immigrants from China will fill the far east of Russia. Chinese neighborhoods draw attention in some Russian cities.

The Kremlin is not against China investing in the region. But it does not want China to have influence in this region which is 6,000 kilometers from Moscow. (“Putin’s Pacific region mobilization,” 21/08/2015, DW.)

To say it clearly, Vladivostok is the Russian Wall! Both against China and the U.S.

Being made to walk through an unused door

September 2016…

The G20 summit, China…

“China welcomed the U.S. president in a rather cold manner. Obama was not given the chance to walk down the red carpet like the other leaders. A ladder was not sent to the door of the presidential airplane. Obama had to disembark the plane through an unused door.”

Some diplomats said, “This is humiliation. It wasn’t done accidentally. At least the Chinese wouldn’t do such a thing.” (“Obama’ya Çin işkencesi” (Chinese torture for Obama), 05/09, Milliyet.)

The summit would be remembered by the Turkish public with a photograph of Obama watching the rapport between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Russian counterpart Putin.

Turkish martyrdom at the point where Russia started

“We have been separated for a very long time, but we never dishonored the memory of our people here. These glorious people are still alive for us. This place in the far east of Russia is close to our hearts. Our Russian friends founded a bridge between the two countries. Our dear Russian hosts, you have helped us meet our ancestors. And you have given us the best example of friendship between the two countries. You have acted in a very noble manner. We will never forget your efforts.”

These were the lines written by our ambassador to Moscow during the summit in Vladivostok, a place perceived as the point Russia started…

“Although 100 years have passed, the wounds we suffered during World War I were remembered when we visited the martyrdom at the shores of the Pacific. The martyrdom, approximately 9,700 kilometers away from Turkey, was restored with the joint efforts of Russia and Turkey.” (28/09, Hürriyet.)

Globally, Russia’s Vladivostok port would come to Korea (across Japan) via China. Following London-EU relations that have become tense, you can consider it unstable from the English Channel to Vladivostok.

“The number of countries that would cross off between the two points and the instability would surprise us all. (“Ankara anahtarı: İster açar, ister kilitler!” (The Ankara key: It will either open the door or lock it!), 04/06/2014, Yeni Şafak.)

And regionally…

How can the West understand President Erdoğan’s “What have they done to us in history? They showed us Sevres in 1920, and persuaded us about Lausanne in 1923,” yet our own people cannot seem to comprehend this?

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said; “We can conduct a joint operation with Turkey in Syria”…

Putin will come to Turkey on October 11…

Mr. Ümit Yalçın has been appointed to the Under Secretariat of the Foreign Ministry…

That’s the reason for the 1925 Turkish-Soviet pact.

Sevres is July 15, Lausanne is Mosul!
