Mishaal: Gaza To Break Its Siege Soon

Gaza is soon to break the Israeli blockade, Khaled Mishaal, the head of the Political Bureau of Hamas Movement, said on Saturday, according to Palestinian local agencies.

Mishaal, addressing a festival on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr organized by Hamas at Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza over the phone, said that Gaza has suffered for long from aggression and oppression.

However, Gaza proved its great resoluteness and steadfastness and defeated the enemy in wars imposed on it by this enemy, he added.

The Hamas leader lauded the Turkish and Qatari efforts in ending the siege on Gaza, adding that they have covered strides in this direction and still are exerting efforts towards that very end.

Mishaal said that Hamas would not be dragged into other wars, adding that its program is one of liberation and not wars. He finally said that Gaza was displaying a big model of patience and insistence on national unity.

In another context, Khaled Mishaal reached Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas over the phone on Friday. Mishaal congratulated Abbas on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
