As Russian airstrikes continued in Aleppo countryside for the second day after a failed pause, other areas Syria were targeted also leaving dozens of victims and wide destruction.

Russia’s defense ministry announced then on Wednesday 2 November a new humanitarian pause and said that six exit routes will be open on Friday for ten hours, from 9am to 7pm, to allow civilians in eastern Aleppo to leave, along with two new exit routes for the fighters to withdraw from the area.

However, the duration ended without any civilians evacuated and with no rebels surrendering.

After the end of the pause, reports by opposition sources said that the airstrikes have already started in the areas surrounding Aleppo.

Russian jet fighters perpetrated on Friday a new massacre in Kafr Naha town in Aleppo western countryside, killing tens of people and injuring many others, according to activists.

Residential areas in Kafr Naha town in Aleppo western countryside were targeted by parachute-borne bombs, which claimed the lives of 14 civilians and injured 25 others including women and children, activists said.

On Saturday, Russian airstrikes also hit the areas surrounding Aleppo killing more than 16 civilians according to opposition sources.

On Sunday, more than 30 civilians were killed in Aleppo according to the Syrian observatory for human rights.

“5 civilians were killed by aerial bombardment on Dara Azza. A woman was killed by bombardment on Orom al-Kobra. 4 civilians were killed by aerial bombardment on Bashantra village, what rose the number of the dead in Aleppo today to 30 including 6 children and 4 women,” said the observatory.

Shells fired by rebels targeted New Aleppo and Ashrafia what killed a man, the observatory added.

The clashes continue between regime forces and rebels around Project of 1070 and Tal Moata west of Aleppo amid bombardment on the area, regime forces advanced in the area leading to human losses in both sides.

Opposition sources said that many pro-regime Shiite militants were killed in the clashes.

Assad regime, backed by Russia, said on September 22 it was starting a new wide offensive to recapture the rebel-held parts of Aleppo after a week-long ceasefire was declared officially over on 19 September.

Since 19 September, more than 800 civilians were killed and more than 2000 injured in rebel-held areas of Aleppo province, including the besieged eastern part of the city, Civil defense workers said.

On Friday 29 October the rebel forces started a new military operation to break the siege imposed on 275.000 civilians in eastern Aleppo, employing heavy shelling and suicide car bombs, was mainly focused on the city’s western edge by rebels based in the countryside outside Aleppo.

Idlib

At least 11 people were killed in a regime airstrike Sunday in Syria’s western Idlib province, according to local medical sources.

Regime aircraft struck a marketplace and a school in al-Dana town in northern Idlib, the sources said on condition of anonymity due to security concerns.

Most fatalities were women and children, the source said, adding that at least 40 people were also injured in the attack.

Aerial bombardment also targeted areas of Saraqib, Khan Shekhon, , Benech, Maara al-Nuaman and al-Hebet, what wounded a number of civilians, according to the Observatory.

On Saturday, Warplanes also launched several missiles targeting areas in the town of Saraqeb in the eastern countryside of Idlib, which killed three civilians two of them are children, and wounded several others.

Damascus

At least eight children were killed and 15 others injured when regime forces shelled a nursery in opposition-held Harasta city, a northeastern suburb of the capital Damascus, a local civil defense official told Anadolu Agency.

The Syrian regime targeted Bunel al-Mustakbel nursery, Muhammad Adem said, adding the artillery fire began when the children were playing in the playground.

The injured children were rushed to nearby hospitals, Adem added.

Meanwhile, Syrian warplanes also struck the Hammuriyah neighborhood in Damascus. The attack killed 6 at least including 4 children and a woman, the number of the dead is likely to rise according to the serious injuries.

While in Homs province, the number of civilians who were killed by regime bombardment on al-Waer rose to 5 including a child. An old woman killed by bombardment on al-Waer. Regime forces bombarded also the northern countryside.

The Syrian crisis began as a peaceful demonstration against the injustice in Syria. Assad regime used to fire power and violence against the civilians and led to armed resistance. 450.000 Syrians lost their lives in the past five years according to UN estimates, and more than 12 million have lost their homes. Syria
