Bashar al-Assad, the current Syrian president and the root cause if the ongoing crisis, has visited his troops on Sunday in an area they occupied a month ago and had “Iftar” with them.

Assad joined the troops on Sunday at Marj al-Sultan Airport, located in Kharabou area in the Eastern Ghouta region of Damascus.

Assad regime’s media released photos of Assad among his troops taking Iftar in Marj al-Sultan as they claimed but this, however, cannot be verified.

Assad used such a technique to encourage his soldiers and the supporting militias in many hot areas while his media used to fabricate concocted stories lying about the correct time and place of the visit – al-Zablatani incident is but one example when he was there a year and a half ago while his media photos confirmed that he was in Jobar.

While Assad had food with his troops, his regime’s jets was bombing civilians in Aleppo, Idlib, Raqqa and forcing siege on many other areas.

The Syrian crisis started by a peaceful uprising five years ago asking Bashar al-Assad to end decades of oppression and injustice against Syrian people. However, Assad regime responded with brutality and the uprising was turnes into a war that killed more then 450.000 people according to UN estimates and displaced half of Syria’s population, 7 millions of them are outside Syria.
