Turkish and Kurdish to discuss terrorism in Ankara

The President of the Iraq’s Kurdish region, Massoud Barzani, paid an official visit to Ankara to discuss the fight against terrorism.

Barzani’s visit came amid a diplomatic row with Baghdad over Turkish troops based near Mosul in northern Iraq, where they are training Kurdish peshmerga fighters.

During this meeting, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet DavutoÄŸlu announced that the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization Hakan Fidan and Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu would travel to Baghdad on Thursday.

The Turkish PM confirmed that the presence of his country in Iraq main to promote stability in the region because they don’t want to be neighbors with the Islamic State. He added that Turkey will support both Iraq and the Kurdish region on all terms.
