US, Saudi leaders to meet following Paris attacks

US president Barack Obama will hold talks with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman on Sunday, according to a US official. This comes as world leaders seek a united response to the bloody attacks in central Paris that left more than 120 people dead.

US and Saudi leaders plan to meet on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Turkey, which both countries are attending. The two-day summit will also be mostly dedicated to eradicating terrorism, following the attacks in Paris.

The attacks in Paris left 129 people dead, and hundreds injured. The recent terror has inspired increased efforts to target terrorist cells all around the world.

Washington and Riyadh are part of the same US-led coalition that is currently performing air strikes against the Islamic State, that controls swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria.
