Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan pays tribute to all the victims of the military coup in Egypt. On his desk, in his office in Ankara, he has a statue with the symbol for the Rabaa massacre, a hand showing four fingers. The symbol is also showing resistance to the military coup in itself.
One of President Erdogan’s senior advisers, Mustafa Farank, published a picture of the desk on his twitter and wrote that the text under the hand says:
“one nation, one flag, one nation, one country”.
The decoration on the president’s desk will most likely not improve the already shaky relation between the two countries.
